February Reading Challenge Recap
So, how did you guys do? I admit, this was a much more difficult month for me, mostly because I was still finishing up the last of the Harry Potter books and I had eight–count them, eight–books to judge for RWA’s RITA Awards. Fortunately, Deathly Hallows fulfills this month’s challenge of reading your bookshelf as well. Here’s a list of what I read this month so far:
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J. K. Rowling
- Chasing Slow, Erin Loechner
- 8 unnamed RITA books (not allowed to say which)
Which books did you read that you already owned? Which would you recommend to others?

Suzanne Sellner says:
After finishing As Bright as Heaven and Brunch at Bittersweet Cafe, both of which I LOVED!, I have begun reading The Lady and the Lionheart, which qualifies for the February book challenge since I already owned it. I’ve also listened to about 4 books on CD this month.

For the challenge, I read: A DARING VENTURE by Elizabeth Camden (so I could read the new one: A DESPERATE HOPE). Also read IMAGINE: THE FALL OF JERICHO by Mat Koceich (a children’s book), and
HELLO UNIVERSE by Erin Entrada Kelly (last year’s Newbery winner).

In February I’ve listened to the audiobook version of junior novel ‘See You in the Cosmos’ by Jack Cheng, which is fantastic in audio; ‘Gideon’s Gift’, ‘Maggie’s Miracle,’ ‘Sarah’s Song, ‘’The Bridge’ and ‘The Chance’ by Karen Kingsbury; ‘The Saturday Night Supper Club’ and ‘Brunch at Bittersweet Cafe’, by guess who?! (Which I really loved). And ‘The Undoing of Saint Silvanus’ by Beth Moore (a novel). Most of the books I read are in audiobook form as it’s easier for me to listen while I’m commuting to and from work, gardening, cleaning, or in bed before sleep.

I admire your audiobook devotion! I can only listen to non-fiction on audio. Weird, I know.

I’ve been keeping up with the challenge. In January, I read The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis. In February, I read The Cupcake Dilemma (so cute!).
