#2MinBookReview: Send Down the Rain by Charles Martin
My take on Charles Martin’s newest release, Send Down the Rain. I liked it in the end… but it wasn’t what I expected. Watch to find out why.

Thanks for this review, Carla! I’m a big Charles Martin fan, too, and can’t wait to read this one, but I appreciate your perspective about the slow start. (I’ve been warned!)

Let me know what you think! On one hand, I want people to know going in so they don’t do what I almost did and abandon it; on the other, I don’t want people to be mad at me if I don’t mention it. I’ve got a lot of readers who go out and buy books based on these recommendations!

Is this the story of going to live in Alaska? Also, is he an abuser when drinking alcohol. I liked the story line.

This book takes place mostly in Florida and California with some flashbacks to Vietnam. I think you may be thinking of The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah?

I have this book on my book shelf and plan to read it soon. I’ve loved all of his books so far, too. My favorite so far is “Wrapped in Rain.”
